Age affects us all and a noticeable change that comes with age are wrinkles, loose skin, double chins, eye bags and lines from either frowning other regular facial movements.

PDO works by passing very small threads through the deeper layers of the skin to pull the skin back which in effect causes the skin to be tighter and have more structure making it look much smoother and at the end of it the results are immediate and the recovery time is much shorter than other facial treatments and pose much less of a risk than the more invasive treatments.

How long do PDO Threads last?

PDO Threads are low risk and aren’t permanent and are only temporary, they tend to last from one to three years depending on age, the threads are made from Polydioxanone which has a high acceptance by the body and is fully dissolvable, when the threads begin to dissolve and be absorbed by the body it also begins to produce more collagen which further adds to the reduction of wrinkles and loose skin in the treated areas.

What should I know before getting PDO Threads?

Before your appointment, it’s important to ensure that you avoid anything that could thin your blood. This includes painkillers, vitamins and even alcohol as these are all known to cause the blood to thin. The problem with this is that thinner blood makes the skin more prone to bruising and bleeding which can, for obvious reason, cause issues with your treatment.
