Ear Irrigation
ear wax removal

Get rid of the waxy blockages that are causing issues with your ears.

How does it work?

Ear wax removal is a treatment that has been around for years using syringing or irrigation to clean the wax out of the ear. These methods are still going strong today and with years of use to back up their reputation, they’re still among the best ways to clean a build up of ear wax from the ears.

By utilising the latest and most advanced ear irrigation technology, the process is incredibly effective and can clear large amounts of built up blockage, resulting in better hearing and reduced levels of tinnitus, dizziness and general discomfort.

It’s a completely safe and painless treatment that simply uses liquid to break up and flush out the wax that is causing a blockage within the ear canal. It may also be recommended to use a form of ear wax drop that will soften the ear wax before undergoing the irrigation treatment as it can help to flush out more of the wax.

Benefits of ear irrigation

• It can be performed for those who have had prior contraindications for traditional methods (history of perforation, infection, ear operations etc.)

• Low risk of perforation and infection

• Doesn’t always require use of drops or oils prior to treatment

• Has a higher success rate than traditional methods

• Doesn’t require the use of tools to go inside the ear and break the wax up, instead relying on the flow of water to break up and flush out the wa from within the ear.

Why is ear wax such a problem?

When the wax within the ear causes a blockage, it can cause discomfort and pain in the ear along with hearing impairment and in some cases even dizziness. It can cause even more problems for those who use hearing aids as the build-up of wax can even block their ear piece due to the way that their hearing aid blocks the wax from exiting the ear canal naturally.

Whether you have an existing hearing impairment or not, regular removal of wax is extremely important as blocked ears aren’t a nice thing for anyone. Home methods of wax removal such as syringing and irrigation require the use of drops and oils for a number of weeks before the wax is able to be removed which in a lot of cases makes the hearing loss and discomfort worse that it already was, but with professional ear irrigation treatments this is not something that needs to be feared.
