Revive and revitalise your eyes

TEAR TROUGH
treatments

Get rid of the dark circles that hang down below your eyes.

How does it work?

Your tear trough is the area that’s found between your lower eyelid and cheek. Naturally, as you get older, your body will begin to lose volume in this area which often results in the appearance of dark circles and hollow areas underneath the eyes. Thankfully, these can be treated with the use of dermal fillers.

Tear trough treatments are able to quickly and effectively restore the lost volume in this area, as will as boosting the collagen production within the skin to hydrate and restore from the inside out. What this gives you is natural looking results and a more youthful and less tired appearance to your eyes.

By being strategically injected into the tear trough, a filler treatment can lighten the appearance of dark circles, fill out any hollows and wrinkles below the eyes and even provide a drastic boost to the quality of the skin by triggering the production of new collagen deep beneath the surface.

How long do the results last?

Usually with fillers, you expect for the results to last anywhere between 6-12 months depending on the treated area and the individual patient, however we usually find that the results of a tear trough treatment last anywhere up to 18 months before a follow up treatment is required.

What happens when they wear off?

Over time, all dermal fillers are naturally broken down and dissolved by the body and they will wear off. This won’t be a painful process and you won’t notice it other than the visual signs, but you can always book yourself in for a follow up treatment to maintain the look that you had received.

What are the advantages compared to a surgical procedure?

There are a number of benefits to both the injectable fillers and surgical procedures when it comes to reducing the appearance of tear troughs, but what advantages do fillers hold over their surgical counterpart?

  • It’s a much quicker treatment and provides you with instant results
  • There’s no downtime associated with the treatment and you are able to go straight back to work
  • Rejuvenates the appearance of tired eyes
  • There is no surgical scarring to worry about and instead there’s just the worry of some minor bruising
  • The results are often much more natural in appearance than the surgical alternative can provide

Are tear trough fillers safe to use?

Since 1996, it is estimated that there have been over 9 million undereye filler treatments performed in over 70 countries around the world. Because hyaluronic acid fillers are produced and packaged in sterile conditions in a laboratory, combined with the fact they are biodegradable and are broken down naturally by the body, they are considered to be completely safe to use.
